In the Rialto Unified School District, the 2009-2010 school year is one of demonstrated leadership and commitment to you - our parents and guardians. We will serve you well with our “Service Promise.” A promise to interact in a courteous, caring, and positive manner that ensures that all parents/guardians will be treated with dignity and respect; this is firmly established as our most valuable foundation of education.
Eugene B. Habacker stated, “The true leader serves. Serves people. Serves their best interest, and in so doing will not always be popular, may not always impress. But because true leaders are motivated by loving concern rather than a desire for personal glory, they are willing to pay the price.” We have a renewed commitment to you for the betterment of our students and the quality of their education. RUSD has the highest standard of success for student achievement through highly-qualified, dedicated teachers and encouraging support staff who are competent, compassionate and consistent in achieving the goal of providing an educationally nurturing environment for your child.
Although, as a nation we face economic difficulties, education remains constant as the great hope for our future. We stand with you to provide the encouragement for our students to fulfill their educational destiny. We boast of a diverse student population of more than 27,500, proudly holding ourselves as the top employer in the City of Rialto. With more than 2,400 hard working employees, our mission is to provide quality education to the youth of Rialto, and unincorporated cities of Colton, Fontana and San Bernardino.
“Through positive open communication and team-building, join our honorable RUSD Board of Education, our dedicated teachers and the Community of Rialto in supporting the rich academic growth and success of your children. There is an old adage – “When better is possible, then good is not enough.” Here in the RUSD, we value our parents/guardians and students in hopes of fulfilling this promise at every opportunity possible.
Respectfully,
Dr. Harold L. Cebrun, Sr.
Superintendent
