The San Bernardino Sun of Monday, January 8, 2001, listed the Eisenhower boys basketball team as favored to win a league title. According to comments made by area coaches, Eisenhower is also anticipated to advance deep into the playoffs this season. Eisenhower is ranked at the end of preseason as number two in the county. Eisenhower boys finished the preseason with an 11-4 schedule padded with one of the toughest non-league schedules around.
Even though Eisenhower basketball coach David Wolfe calls this year a rebuilding year, the girls team is also coming out of the preseason ranked number two. Eisenhower girls finished the preseason with a 12-3 record.
