Eisenhower High School girls basketball player, Jasmine Clarendon, was named Female Athlete of the Week in the San Bernardino Sun newspaper. In the Tuesday, February 18, 2002, edition of The Sun, Clarendon was celebrated for her outstanding performance in a playoff victory the week before.
As mentioned in the article, Clarendon was complimented by the coach of the Murrieta Valley team. "She's hard to defend, an excellent post player, more athletic than your average high school post player."
