After returning to the city and school district after a several year hiatus, about 30 students from the three high schools in Rialto participated in Students in City Government Day on Tuesday, November 6, 2001.
Students shadowed city employees to learn about their jobs and how the city operates. Students also participated in a mock City Council meeting in the afternoon.
School board trustee Day Mays along with City councilman Kurt Wilson were responsible for helping to revive the day which they hope will be an annual event.
