Eisenhower High School girls' basketball player, Jasmine Clarendon, was named Female Athlete of the Week in the San Bernardino Sun newspaper. In the Tuesday, March 4, 2003, edition of The Sun, Clarendon was celebrated for scoring 30 points in two post-season games while being double-teamed. Also, Clarendon made 14 of 20 shots in those two games, along with 20 rebounds and nine assists.
As mentioned in the article, Jasmine was named to The Sun All-county volleyball team, was the The Sun's 2001-2002 basketball player of the year, and will attend Pepperdine on a basketball scholarship.
