Walk for Life

Anthony Nickols was a senior at Ike in the fall of 1997, when he was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. The cancer was in the advanced stage when he was diagnosed. At the age of 19, he died from pneumonia and other effects of the cancer.

On Saturday, April 19, a benefit walk for the Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation of the Inland Empire, will take place at Eisenhower High School. Proceeds will also benefit the Anthony J. Nickols Jr. Foundation and a new college scholarship at Eisenhower High School. Students from Ike will prepare a pancake breakfast after the walk.

Registration starts at 7:00 a.m. with the 5K walk beginning at 8:00 a.m. The fee is $35 and includes a t-shirt.
