3 Students Compete at
Inland Science & Engineering Fair

3 Eisenhower High School students recently competed at the Inland Science and Engineering Fair at the National Orange Show in San Bernardino. The science fair competition involved students from four counties: Riverside, Inyo, Mono, and San Bernardino. On April 22 and 23, 2003, Despina Kritikos, Amanda LeQuire, and Patrick Mobley received 1st place in the Science Olympics for their project, "Catapult."

In addition, each competed individually. Despina received a silver for her project, "Rusty Nails." Patrick received a gold for his project, "Electrophoresis: Pigment Comparison in Molecular Size." Amanda received a 2nd place trophy for her project, "Under Pressure." Also, Amanda is eligible to compete at the upcoming state competition in Los Angeles.
