New National Football Award
Named After Ron Lott

On Sunday night, December 12, 2004, the inaugural presentation of the Lott Trophy will take place in Orange County. This new award is being established to recognize players who not only excel on the field, but whose personal character is above reproach. Lott, a graduate of Eisenhower High School, as well as an NFL Hall of Famer, was willing to have his name on the award because it would be "the first award to give equal consideration to the personal character of athletes."
