Members of the Marine Corps Silent Drill Platoon
Perform at Eisenhower H.S.

Members of the Marine Corp Silent Drill Platoon performed Sunday, March 12, as part of the Marine Corps Battle Color Ceremony. The 50 minute show was preceded by a medley of military-themed songs from the Eisenhower High School marching band. After a speech by Representative Joe Baca, the U.S. Marine Drum and Bugle Corps performed military, spiritual and popular music.

The Battle Color Ceremony, held for the fourth straight year at Eisenhower High, was presented to a crowd of about 1,800 people. The Marines perform at nearly 400 events a year in the United States and abroad, including several presidential functions. The event symbolized by the hoisting of the Marine Corps Battle Colors flag with 49 streamers and silver bands displayed, commemorates the more than 400 military campaigns the Marines have fought in since the American Revolution.
