Eisenhower Instructional Aide
to Walk in Fundraiser in Ireland

Theresa Moore, Instructional Aide for students with learning disabilities at Eisenhower has always had a desire to return to Ireland. When fellow colleague and teacher, Brian Laurie gave her a brochure describing a free trip to Ireland, she took it home to share with her husband Wes. All Theresa has to do is run or walk in the Dublin Marathon on October 30. However, she also needs to raise at least $4,200 for the Arthritis Foundation. Wes agreed that they should do it, which upped the price of participation for their family to $8,400.

Participating in the marathon will have a personal satisfaction for the family as both Theresa's mother and grandmother are afflicted with arthritis. Training for the marathon began Sunday, but Wes and Theresa have already started by running and walking in their neighborhood and at lunch time.

Wes and Theresa are both graduates of Eisenhower, as well as their oldest daughter, Elisabeth. Their youngest daughter, Rachel, will graduate from Ike next month.

To help Theresa and Wes, and help people afflicted with arthritis, you can send a check made out to the Arthritis Foundation at:
