On Friday, February 22, 2019, the Make a Wish foundation of Orange County and the Inland Empire came to Eisenhower High School. As the Make A Wish website states, "We create life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses." A member of the boys tennis team was their recipient. He could have asked for a wish for himself and his family. Instead, he asked for new gear for his team. Below are photos from the Make A Wish event and the tennis team playing in their new gear on Monday, February 25, 2019. When I spoke with him asking if it was okay to put these photos online, his thoughts again were not for himself. He was disappointed because two of his teammates missed both occasions.
