DLI Parent Committee
The DLI Parent Committee plays a vital role in strengthening the partnership between families and our Dual Language Immersion program. Each DLI school selects parent representatives who attend district-level committee meetings on behalf of their site, then report back to their school community with updates, resources, and important information shared at the district level.
Parent representative positions are selected each school year, giving families an ongoing opportunity to have a voice in how the DLI program grows and serves students across the district.
Our Purpose
Family engagement is at the heart of a successful Dual Language Immersion experience. The DLI Parent Committee exists to:
- Strengthen communication between families, school sites, and the district
- Support DLI parents in understanding program goals, expectations, and the long term commitment to biliteracy
- Provide a space for families to ask questions, share feedback, and stay informed
- Help students thrive by connecting families with resources that support learning both at school and at home
School Site Committees
In addition to district-level representation, individual DLI school sites are encouraged to organize their own school level parent committees. These site committees can meet at a schedule that works best for their community, planned in coordination with school administration and parents, allowing each school to build family engagement in a way that fits its unique needs.
