(R-PAT)

CHILDREN WE SERVE

Any child between three to five years of age, residing in the Rialto Unified School District boundaries, may be referred to the Rialto Preschool Assessment Team (R-PAT) to determine the need for a special education assessment. This referral can be made by parents, private physicians, Regional Center, community agencies, or classroom teachers.

Special Education assessments are conducted by qualified professionals who prepare a written report of the assessment results.

Eligibility is determined at an Individualized Education Program (IEP) meeting. The IEP team consists of parents, teachers, and other professionals. A child may be eligible under Title V eligibility under any of the 14 qualifying disabilities.
