Welcome to Special Services

Special Services

We believe every student is unique, capable, and deserving of opportunities to reach their fullest potential. Our Special Services Department is committed to ensuring that students with disabilities have access to the individualized supports, services, and meaningful educational experiences they need to learn, grow, thrive, and belong.

Each year, we proudly serve more than 3,100 exceptional students, ages 3–22, across our district. Through high-quality, student-centered programs and services, we work in partnership with families, educators, and our community to promote academic achievement, independence, inclusion, self-advocacy, and lifelong success.

At the heart of our work is a simple belief: every student deserves to be seen for their strengths, supported in reaching their goals, and provided meaningful opportunities to participate, contribute, and succeed.

In Special Services, every student belongs

Our Commitment to Every Student

From a child's first school experience through the transition to adulthood, Special Services is committed to providing individualized, inclusive, and meaningful educational opportunities that build upon each student's strengths and prepare them for continued growth and success.

🌱 Early Learning | Ages 3–5

Our early learning programs provide engaging, developmentally appropriate experiences in both inclusive and specialized settings. Through purposeful instruction, early intervention, and collaboration with families, we help young learners develop the communication, social-emotional, academic, and independence skills that create a strong foundation for future learning.

🎓 Kindergarten–12th Grade

Throughout their K–12 journey, students receive individualized supports and services designed to provide meaningful access to learning and participation in their school communities. We promote inclusion and participation in the general education environment whenever appropriate while addressing each student's unique academic, communication, social-emotional, behavioral, and functional needs.

🚀 Transition Programs | Ages 18–22

Our transition programs empower young adults to build the skills, confidence, and independence needed for life beyond high school. Through individualized instruction and real-world learning experiences, students prepare for employment, postsecondary education and training, independent living, self-advocacy, and meaningful participation in their communities.

Every stage matters. Every pathway is unique. Every student belongs.

Partnering with Families

Families are essential partners in every student's educational journey. We work collaboratively with parents, caregivers, educators, and community partners to create supportive learning environments where students can achieve meaningful progress and reach their individual goals.

  • Special Education Parent Advisory Committee (SEPAC)
  • EVSELPA Community Advisory Committee (CAC)

Together, we are building inclusive schools where every student is valued, every voice is heard, and every learner has the opportunity to succeed.

Every Student. Every Opportunity.

Every Success.
